Reflect and Grow: June
Happy Friday, everyone!
It’s crazy to think that we are already closing out the sixth month of the year. Honestly, it feels like it was just February, and now here we are stepping into the summer season. I know I make a comment about how quickly the months are moving by in almost every blog post, but lately I have really been thinking about how quickly the years are moving by.
Next month, I will be celebrating three years of this entrepreneurial journey, which is honestly such a surreal thought. When I started Annie Sharae Creations, I had no idea where this path would lead me, and I am grateful for every lesson, challenge, and opportunity along the way.
Reflecting on June
To be completely honest, June was a slower month when it came to carrying out my business tasks and goals. I have been navigating some uncertainty about where I want to go next in this entrepreneurial journey. It is a little uncomfortable to say that out loud, but I think it is important to share the real moments along the way.
Running a business is not always about constant growth, new ideas, or exciting milestones. Sometimes there are seasons of reflection where you have to reconnect with your purpose, evaluate what is working, and figure out what direction feels right.
One thing I am excited to share this month is that I have continued working with the small bookstore owner I mentioned in my previous blog post. Just this past week, we finalized the designs and submitted a sample order. I am so excited to see how the notebooks turn out and, even more importantly, to share that moment with my client.
I have a very optimistic feeling about this connection, and I truly believe this could be the beginning of a successful and meaningful collaboration. There is something special about creating products that represent another person’s vision, and I am excited to continue building relationships like this through Annie Sharae Creations.
I also started reading The Artist’s Way this month. With the creative uncertainty I have been navigating recently, I am excited to use this book as an opportunity to reconnect with my creativity and find my spark again.
I don’t have any specific business expectations for what I hope to gain from this reading journey. Instead, I think I am simply trying to find my way back to a place of curiosity, creativity, and play.
Growing Into July
The first half of this year has been filled with so many exciting moments in my personal life, but I do feel like I stepped away from some of the momentum I was building during the first quarter of the year.
I am grateful that July is shaping up to be a slower-paced month because it gives me the opportunity to reset, refocus, and reconnect with the goals I created for this year.
Sometimes progress does not always look like checking every box on a list. Sometimes progress looks like taking time to reflect, adjust, and make sure you are still moving in a direction that feels meaningful.
Conclusion
These last few months have been a little quieter in terms of business updates, but I am hopeful that after completing this first order with my new client, things will begin to pick up again.
As always, thank you for continuing to follow along with me on this journey. I appreciate every person who reads, supports, and cheers me on as Annie Sharae Creations continues to grow.
Until next time,
Xx,
Annie
