Happy first Friday in June!
Can you believe we’re already halfway through 2025? If you’re anything like me, this time of year sparks a lot of reflection. It’s the perfect opportunity to check in, see what’s working, and make some intentional shifts to ensure the second half of the year is even better than the first.
Since I’ve been openly sharing my business restructuring journey here on the blog, I thought this would be a great time to talk about how I’m scaling up, both this month and through the rest of the year. So let’s get into it!
Leveraging My Skills
As many of you know, I’m still working my 9–5 while building Annie Sharae Creations. By day, I’m a Training Specialist for a software company—work that allows me to tap into my creativity and make full use of my master’s degree in Learning Design. Lately, I’ve been leaning more into that background and expanding the services I offer.
This means I’m now blending my love for design and storytelling with instructional design—a field not everyone is familiar with. In simple terms, instructional design is all about creating materials that teach something: think e-learning modules, training guides, how-to resources, and curriculum plans. It’s content that makes learning easier and more engaging.
By adding this service to Annie Sharae Creations, I’m shifting my focus slightly. While my notebooks and journals speak to a broad audience, instructional design services are tailored to a more specific group—established small business owners and entrepreneurs. These are folks who may have a team in place but lack the tools or time to properly train, onboard, or educate. Others might be in the education space themselves and need help mapping out a course or training curriculum.
Lucky for them—I’ve got experience in both.
Saying Yes + Trusting the Process
In this season of growth, one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the power of saying yes. That’s not always easy for me, especially when the path isn’t clear, but the last six months have shown me that being open leads to the most unexpected (and rewarding) opportunities.
Saying yes to a custom client order showed me it was time to pivot my approach. Saying yes to an entrepreneurship certification gave me the knowledge (and capital!) to take my business to the next level. Time and again, saying yes has stretched me—and I’m better for it.
Scaling up requires trust: in your skills, in your timing, and in the idea that something greater is unfolding, even if you can’t quite see it yet.
Looking Ahead
June is already moving fast, but I can feel it—this is a turning-point month. Scaling Annie Sharae Creations means diving into more specialized projects, and while that’s a little scary, it’s also incredibly energizing. I’m excited to take on work that challenges me creatively and strategically.
And on top of everything else… this month officially marks two years since I started this business. TWO. YEARS. It’s wild to think about how different things looked when I began. So much has shifted since then, and I’ll be diving deeper into that in my next post.
For now, I’m simply grateful. Grateful for the growth. Grateful for the community. Grateful that I’ve chosen to document this journey through blogging, because one day, I’ll want to look back at it all and smile at how far I’ve come.
Until next time!
